Supporting Natrona County and Wyoming since 1998
How To Apply
Steps to Apply
01
Criterial Quiz
Successful completion of the McMurry Foundation eligibility quiz is the first step in the application process. Currently, we are primarily funding only non-profit organizations in Natrona County. If your organization is not in Natrona County, you may submit a brief summary of your project for consideration at a later date.
02
Letter of Inquiry
Letter of Inquirys (LOI) are accepted and reviewed throughout the year. All organizations must submit an online LOI to be considered for funding.
03
online Application
If your Letter of Inquiry is accepted, we will ask you to complete an online application. In some instances, we may contact you for additional information prior to the application process.
Review Process
Once the Foundation receives the initial letter of inquiry submitted through the online process, our staff will determine whether additional information or a full grant application is required.
Proposals vary widely as to purpose, and hence the documentation needed for fair consideration also varies. Special supporting materials may be requested. In some cases, a member of the Foundation staff may schedule a site visit to discuss the project, see the facility or visit with board members.
Foundation staff will notify the organization as to whether the grant is approved or declined.
Limitations
The Foundation primarily supports Natrona County non-profits. All organizations must be organizations with 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.
The McMurry Foundation will not make contributions to:
- Individuals
- Organizations whose primary purpose is to influence legislation
- Political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns
Grant Reporting
If awarded a grant by the McMurry Foundation, a grant report form is required within 12 months of the start date of your project (as stated in your grant application) or one month after the end of your project, whichever is sooner. You can submit this form by clicking here.
